About

A place for ideas that deserve a closer look.

The Origin Story

Outpost started from a simple belief:

Not every idea deserves a company. Some deserve an experiment.

Hi, I'm Tobias, interim Product Leader, fractional CPO and builder in residence.

I enjoy building digital products, exploring possibilities and learning from real users. Outpost is the home for those explorations.

This outpost on the internet is my testing ground, my personal space to learn and explore, to test and try out new things. Some will work, most of them won't. But I'll have learned a lot along the way.

If you're interested in working with me, have questions about ongoing projects or have your own project idea that is waiting to get started, please get in touch!

What happens here

Small bets instead of big promises.

01 / Speed

Build quickly.

Prioritize momentum over perfection. Code is deployed as soon as the core hypothesis can be tested.

02 / Feedback

Learn from real users.

Internal assumptions are high-risk. We seek external friction to validate or invalidate our direction.

03 / Iterate

Keep what works.

Double down on the signals that show promise. Refine, polish, and scale the components that solve problems.

04 / Discard

Let go of what doesn't.

Ruthless detachment. If a feature or project doesn't hit its marks, we archive it and move to the next bet.

I have a hands on pragmatic builder approach - based on years of experience building digital products. However, I do not build lightly. I build with purpose and intent and based an a value system - same as I do with my consulting clients. My principles are simple:

  • Build with maximum respect for the user
  • Build with as little data intake as possible
  • Build in Europe where possible
  • Build with purpose and intent.
  • Build to learn.
No startup theatre. No endless planning. Just curiosity, software and experimentation.

Why this exists

After years of building digital products professionally, I wanted a place to pursue smaller ideas with curiosity instead of expectations. Outpost is intentionally small. A place to:

  • test ideas
  • build useful software
  • learn in public
  • and occasionally discover something worth pursuing further

What you can expect

  • small software products
  • experiments and prototypes
  • honest lessons
  • occasional failures
  • curiosity-driven building

Exploring ideas worth building.
